Summerhill offers biomass engineering and management services for implementing this technology in heating and drying operations. Summerhill offers a patented technology and technical expertise for converting waste biomass into explosible powder fuel that can be easily and safely transported to the point of use. Existing burners can be retrofitted with compact, thermostatically controlled Summerhill burners enabling conversion from expensive oil and propane fuels to inexpensive biomass powder fuel. Material handling issues for bulky raw materials can be resolved once the material is economically dried and ground into powder. Potential applications include grain drying, bagasse reduction, and citrus peel and pulp processing.
